Caraffa finally stopped in front of one of the doors and we entered. Cold, chilling horror chained me from head to toe! .. It was a real Hell, if such could exist on Earth! This was a triumphant atrocity that defied the understanding of a normal person ... My heart almost stopped.The whole room was flooded with human blood ... People were hanging, sitting, lying on terrifying torture "instruments", the significance of which I could not even imagine. Several people, completely calm, smeared with blood, were leisurely going about their "work", apparently without feeling any pity, no remorse, or any of the slightest human feelings ... The room smelled of burnt meat, blood and death ... Half-dead people moaned, cried, screamed ... and some no longer had the strength to even scream. They just wheezed, not responding to torture, like rag dolls, which fate graciously deprived of any feelings ...
I was blown up from the inside! I even forgot for a moment that very soon I would become one of them ... All my raging strength suddenly burst out, and ... the torture room ceased to exist ... Only bare, blood-soaked walls and terrible, chilling "tools" remained torture ... All the people who were there - both the executioners and their victims - disappeared without a trace.
Caraffa stood as pale as death itself, and looked at me, without looking up, piercing with his terrible black eyes, in which anger, condemnation, surprise, and even some strange, inexplicable delight were splashing ... He kept a deathly silence. And all his inner struggle was reflected only by his face. He himself was motionless, like a statue ... He was deciding something.
I was sincerely sorry for the people who had gone into “another life,” so brutally tortured, and probably innocent. But I was absolutely sure that for them my unexpected intervention was a deliverance from all the terrible, inhuman torments. I saw how their pure, bright souls were leaving for another life, and sadness cried in my frozen heart ... This was the first time in many years of my difficult "witch practice" when I took away a precious human life ... And all that remained was hope that there, in that other, pure and tender world, they will find peace.
Karaffa looked painfully at my face, as if wanting to find out what prompted me to do this, knowing that, at the slightest wave of his "lordly" hand, I would immediately take the place of the "departed", and perhaps I would pay very cruelly for it. But I did not regret ... I was jubilant! That at least someone, with my help, managed to escape from his dirty clutches. And surely my face told him something, because in the next moment Karaffa convulsively grabbed my hand and dragged me to another door ...

And there ... hung on the wall, like on a crucifix, hung my beloved Girolamo ... My affectionate and kind husband ... There was no such pain, and such horror that would not have slashed my tormented heart at this moment! .. I couldn't believe what I saw. My soul refused to accept it, and I helplessly closed my eyes.

I tried to pull myself together to prevent Karaffe from feeling complete satisfaction with this dirty victory. And also, so that he does not think that he managed to break me at least a little, and he would not use this "successful" method on other members of my unhappy family ...
- Come to your senses, Your Holiness, what are you doing! .. - I exclaimed in horror. “You know that my husband has never done anything against the church! How is this possible ?! How can you make innocent people pay for mistakes they didn’t commit ?!
I understood perfectly well that this was just an empty conversation, and that he would not give anything, and Karaffa knew that too well ...

MUBiNT Academy is one of the most effective universities in Russia
The International Academy of Business and New Technologies (MUBiNT) was founded in 1992 as the first non-state higher educational institution in Yaroslavl. Created as an innovative type of university, the MUBiNT Academy has become a major scientific and educational center in twenty years.
In December 2012, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia published the results of monitoring the activities of universities. The key indicators for evaluating the effectiveness were educational, research and international activities, financial and economic efficiency, and well-developed infrastructure. The MUBiNT Academy was included in the list of 29 non-state universities in Russia out of 446 recognized as effective. This is a confirmation of the correctness of the development priorities of the MUBiNT Academy, the high quality of all the work of our team.
The results of the university's work have received wide state and public recognition, which is why the Academy was included in the list of the best universities in Yaroslavl. In 2007, the Academy of MUBiNT became a laureate of the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science "The quality of training specialists." In 2008, by the decision of the accreditation board of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, it was awarded the status of "Academy", and in 2009 the Academy received the title of laureate of the competition "100 Best Universities of Russia". In 2011 and 2012, our university became a laureate of the Yaroslavl Region Prize for the best work in the field of quality and a laureate of the Yaroslavl Region Governor's Prize in the field of education.
Thanks to the professionalism and activity of teachers and specialists, the university plays the role of an experimental laboratory in which innovative teaching methods are formed and developed based on the widespread use of modern information technologies. This is confirmed by the successful participation of the MUBiNT Academy in the projects of the Federal Education Agency in the field of using electronic and distance educational technologies.
The policy of partnership and international cooperation acts as a key element in the development of the MUBiNT Academy. They find support for the initiative of our university in organizing and holding international forums and conferences dedicated to topical problems of higher education and, above all, the problems of harmonizing Russian and European education in the light of the Bologna Agreements. It has become a tradition to hold the annual International Forum “Innovations. Business. Education ”, among the organizers of which is the MUBiNT Academy.
The MUBiNT Academy was among the first universities in Russia to pass the certification of the quality management system for compliance with the requirements of the international standard in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001: 2000. University specialists are actively spreading their experience to other educational institutions, participating as consultants in the work on the creation of quality management systems. As part of the international consortium "Electronic University" - higher educational institutions headed by MESI, the MUBiNT Academy is actively developing e-learning technologies.
The initiatives of the MUBiNT Academy in solving the socio-economic problems of the region's development based on the interaction of society, business and government are significant. In 2013, Yaroslavl State University named after I. P.G. Demidova celebrated its 210th anniversary. Today Yaroslavl State University named after P.G. Demidova is a leading institution of higher education in the Upper Volga region, with more than 7,000 students. This is a classic, multidisciplinary educational institution that trains students in 70 specialties and areas. The university has ten faculties: law, mathematics, physics, economics, history, informatics and computing, socio-political sciences, psychology, biology and ecology, philology and communication.
Our Branch is 15 years old. This is a good age for systematizing what has been achieved and assessing the potential for further development. Over the years, we have formed a certain image and, as our graduates say, they have found a second home here - we are very proud of this. Today the Branch has an excellent material base, its own building, more than 70 full-time teachers and employees work in it, more than 2000 students study in 9 specialties and 7 areas.
