The results of the admission campaign for undergraduate and graduate programs at the Pushkin Institute have been summed up.

In 2017, the institute enrolled for undergraduate programs "Native Philology", "Applied Philology", "Teaching Philological Disciplines". Over the past three years, the Applied Philology program has enjoyed the greatest interest among applicants.

On average, the competition was 5.5 people for 1 budget place. « A distinctive feature of this year's admissions campaign was the increase in the number of applicants with 100 USE points in specialized subjects or who are winners of Olympiads.Almost a quarter (24%) of enrolled freshmen-bachelors have such results”, - says the vice-rector for educational work Elena Koltakova.

A third of freshmen have a diploma with honors, their average USE score is 93. The average USE score of those enrolled in the first year has increased: in 2017 it amounted to 89.1 points, which exceeds last year's value (88 points).

According to Elena Koltakova, many freshmen (45%) took part in olympiads and other competitions, which allowed them to receive additional points for individual achievements when entering the institute.

The students of the Pushkin Institute in 2017 were school graduates from 26 regions Russian Federation. In addition to Moscow and the Moscow region, applicants from Arkhangelsk, Vladimir, Rostov, Samara, Yaroslavl regions, Republics of Buryatia, Komi, Mari El, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Krasnoyarsk and Krasnodar Territories, etc.

« Five of our freshmen have volunteer experience and we hope they become participantsinternational volunteerprogram "Ambassadors of the Russian language in the world" and will participate in the institute's projects”, - says Elena Viktorovna.

This year, admission to the magistracy was carried out for the following programs: "Russian as a foreign language", "Russian language and intercultural communication", "Philological support of the media".

« Our first-year undergraduates showed excellent results in the entrance exams, because the average score of enrolled is 93.3, and 46% of first-year students have bachelor's degrees with honors", - notes Elena Koltakova.

Students enrolled in graduate school from 32 regions of Russia- graduates of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, Kazan Federal University, Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, Novosibirsk National Research state university, RANEPA, Sakhalin State University, and, of course, the Pushkin Institute and other Russian universities.

The greatest competition was for admission to the program "Russian as a foreign language". “This program is the “calling card” of the institute,” comments the Vice-Rector. “Master students get the opportunity to study abroad in their specialty, and later they teach Russian to foreign schoolchildren and students.”

A serious competition has developed when enrolling in a new master's program, opened in 2016 - "Philological Support for the Media". Students of this program get the opportunity to participate in master classes and undergo internships on leading television channels, radio, magazines, newspapers.

The Pushkin Institute is a recognized leader in the field of training for world Russian studies; students from 150 countries have studied within its walls. Foreign students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Greece, China, Kyrgyzstan, Congo, Cuba, Latvia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Japan and other countries will come for undergraduate and graduate studies.

August 30 at 11.00 there will be a meeting of the leadership of the Pushkin Institute with freshmen.

Congratulations on your admission!

In 2017, the Financial Analytics program was allocated 15 budget places for citizens of the Russian Federation and equivalent to them, 20 places for training under the contract And 5 places for studying foreign citizens. Admission to the program was carried out on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations and the specialty "Financial Analytics".

134 applications were submitted for the program from citizens of the Russian Federation (and those equivalent to them), as well as 7 applications from foreign citizens. Based on applications from Russian citizens, we tied for second place among all master's programs with the Entrepreneurship and Project Management program, losing to the Marketing program, which received 155 applications. But within the Faculty of Economics, which is new for the Master's program in Finance and Credit, our program turned out to be the leader in terms of the number of applications submitted.

The program accepted certificates in English, giving from 75 to 100 points for the exam in English. And also, the diplomas of the winners of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2017 were taken into account, giving the winners 100 points for the exam in English and in the specialty; winners and prize-winners of the 2017 Finance 360 competition, which gave the winners 100 points for the specialty exam and the winners 80 points for the specialty exam. The results of those who entered the exams can be seen in the figure below in the context of exams, gender, budgetary or contractual place, certificates in language and olympiads are highlighted.

We think that there is nothing special to comment on here: everything is already quite clear. A slight distortion in the share is noticeable in English in the sum of the ratings, but it is rather insignificant. You can also notice that you can write both exams, overtaking both Olympiads and certificate students. At the same time, 5 applicants with international language certificates and 2 people with international competition, as well as 4 people from the Olympiads, including the same international competition.

The joint distribution by the sum of two exams for those who passed both exams (taking into account Olympiads and certificates) is as follows:

According to the year of birth and gender among those who entered the program, the distribution turned out to be as follows:

And the distribution by sex and month of birth among the applicants is as follows:

Among the applicants, the distribution between the regions of Russia (foreigners did not enter the program this year) suggests that there is no difference between those who are from the regions and those who are from Moscow - everyone is about the same age and everyone is not afraid to change the region to get quality education:

The number of those in need of a hostel among those who entered the program is as follows:

In total, 43 people from 14 universities entered the program, while this year almost all places in the budget were filled by graduates of Moscow State University, which is very unusual for the program, usually up to half of the budget places in last years on the program "Financial Economics" - the predecessor of our program, were occupied by graduates of other universities:

At the same time, according to a survey of applicants, 3/4 consider themselves sanguine and choleric, and 1/4 - melancholic and phlegmatic, which quite accurately reflects the choice of the training track: one needs drive, and the other needs smooth decision-making.

We hope that all applicants will study diligently, receive a master's degree, and then work and Everyday life will always adhere to the motto of our program, given at the end of the review of the results of the 2017 admission campaign for the Financial Analytics program.

MOSCOW, August 14 - RIA Novosti. Graduates of Russian schools finally became first-year students, and university rectors summed up the results of the 2017 admission campaign. About how much the average has grown USE scores how schoolchildren began to choose their future profession and how this year's admission campaign differed from previous ones, RIA Novosti was told by the rectors of the capital's universities.

According to Rosobrnadzor, about 618,000 graduates took the exam this year. At the same time, more than half of them could count on a state-funded place in a Russian university. As the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Olga Vasilyeva stated, in 2017 this figure reached 57%.

For more than a year, schoolchildren have shown a steady interest in natural science disciplines, the number of those who did not pass exams has halved, and in a number of subjects there has been an increase in average scores. This was followed by an increase in the average entrance scores to universities, and in some specialties - quite significantly.

Increased average USE scores

In an interview with RIA Novosti, the rectors of several metropolitan universities noted that they are seeing an increase in the average USE scores among applicants.

"If we talk about the average score of state employees, it has increased by almost 2 points. This is quite significant. It used to be 77.5 - now it's 79.5. This is considered a fairly large increase in the average score per year, because the reception is quite large - about a thousand people from state employees which we accept," said RUDN Rector Vladimir Filippov.

He noted that out of 47 areas of training for which the university accepted, the average USE scores increased in 37 specialties, while in 18 of them it was very significant - by more than 10 points.

"I was pleased with the average scores in some specialties ... for which the competition was not high before. For example, in chemistry," Filippov said.

According to the rector of NUST "MISiS" Alevtina Chernikova, every third enrolled in this technological university provided a certificate of secondary education with honors, and the total score of the Unified State Examination - from 250 and above. In addition, the number of incoming winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads has increased by 50%.

“An obvious trend is the growing popularity of specialties in the field of materials science, IT and nanotechnology. According to the results of the admission campaign in 2017, they became the most popular areas among applicants, the competition for some of them exceeded 50 people per place,” Chernikova said.

The growth of interest in engineering specialties was also noted in the Russian University of Economics. Plekhanov, and now, in terms of demand, these areas of training are approaching economic ones in popularity.

"This year, the most unexpected change was the increase in points for engineering areas. In particular, the average score for the previously not the most popular specialty "Technological Machines and Equipment" not only increased, but also three times exceeded the planned enrollment of students on an extrabudgetary basis" - said the rector of the university Viktor Grishin.

Earlier, representatives of universities noted that this year there has also been a trend of growing interest in professions in the field of IT and media.

Conscious career choice

"The most significant trend that has begun to be seen in the last few years is a more conscious approach to choosing a profession. This can be seen in the questions that applicants ask during the admission campaign. Despite the fact that the choice is still closely related to the perceptions of parents , where the main indicators in the overwhelming majority of cases are the conditional "prestige" of the specialty and the potential level of wages, generation Z still does not make a choice solely on material criteria," said the rector of the Russian University of Economics. Plekhanov.

He noted that the guys began to ask questions more often about the possibility of further implementation, employment, options for continuing their studies and undergoing internships and internships.

"Traditionally popular questions about the possibility of studying foreign languages- in many areas, we are taught two languages, and seven are optional," he added.

Rector of Moscow State Pedagogical University Igor Remorenko noted that today's applicants and first-year students have become less like "walking encyclopedias" and, of course, they do not know the facts known to the older generation so well, but they quickly find the necessary information and know how to reason.

“It seems to me that they navigate complex, problematic situations faster than those who came to the university five years ago. I like them, they are talkative, interested in different things, they are very willing to choose elective courses, they compete for them. They are interested in project work In terms of encyclopedia, of course, they know less than before, but in terms of diversity of interests, readiness to mobilize and achieve something, they are not inferior to previous generations," he said.

The rector of the Russian University of Economics emphasized that today, for effective employment, regardless of the chosen specialty, a modern university graduate just needs to be flexible. According to him, a young employee should be able to work at the intersection of professions, be able to perform tasks remotely using various IT solutions, be able to communicate with people, quickly search for and process information, have a high level of mobility and learning, including self-education skills. Moreover, according to him, this applies to almost all professions.

Features of the admission campaign-2017

As Remorenko told RIA Novosti, the first feature of this year's admission campaign was that universities have learned to accept and take into account the individual achievements of applicants, which include various olympiads of different levels and competitions.

“That is, if earlier some (universities) timidly tried, now the list of individual achievements for which universities awarded additional points reached several pages in university admission documents,” Remorenko said.

According to him, this year the palette of such competitions was quite large. And, despite the fact that, on average, the proportion of applicants for whom these additional points really play a role in admission is only up to 5-7%, the guys still tried to earn these points.

"The second feature was the last year of the demographic decline. Now those who were born at the turn of the 2000s are entering universities. The next 10 years are the years when the demographic growth will begin, and many rectors hope that instead of reducing professorial teaching staff, it will be possible to attract new teachers and researchers," Remorenko said.

He explained that this does not apply to all universities, but universities are waiting for the redistribution of specialties in the future.

“Universities should find their bearings in time and offer updated modern models of education. Those who offer modern educational technologies will show good prospective employment, teach them to develop in foreign literature, and become attractive to future students,” said the rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

Representatives of universities of Tatarstan share their observations and expectations from the admission campaign-2017

Realnoe Vremya completes a series of articles about what is happening in the higher education market in Tatarstan. This time, we asked representatives of universities to tell us how the admission campaign is going, what they remember about last year’s admission of applicants, what areas of study yesterday’s students want to get into, and what new things their university can offer in the 2017/2018 academic year. As it turned out, most universities have noted an increase in the average score of applicants, and some universities have been offering new educational programs since 2017. The most popular areas traditionally remain jurisprudence and economics, but interest in tourism is growing.

  • Deputy Executive Secretary admission committee KNITU-KAI

In 2016, the university's average enrollment score was 71, up 2.4 points from the previous year. This allowed KNRTU-KAI to take 134th place in the ranking of universities with admission targets of more than 300, compared to 150th place in 2015.

The level of preparation of applicants in the subjects of the general scientific cycle is growing from year to year, but despite this, KNRTU-KAI conducts an additional educational module (the so-called zero semester) in physics and mathematics, which lasts two weeks. The number of "Olympiads" in 2016 increased by 2.4 times.

The number of applications submitted in 2015 was 9852, and in 2016 - 10237 (an increase of 3.9%). As a rule, interest in engineering specialties is growing from year to year, so this year we expect an increase in applicants compared to 2016. Competition is also growing in the specialty of secondary vocational education. The areas of training with the greatest competition in 2016 were "Aircraft Engines", "Standardization and Metrology", "Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering", "Nanoengineering" and "Mechanical Engineering". Also, the areas of "Aircraft Engineering", "Laser Equipment and Laser Technologies", "Information Security" are always very popular. We expect this trend to continue in 2017. This year, in addition, a new master's direction appeared at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics - "Nanomaterials".

This year, there are no significant changes in the admission procedure, the legislative norms are stable. As for the organization of the reception itself, we tried to make the reception of documents more interesting and exciting for young people by diversifying the hall of the 7th educational building of KNRTU-KAI - the place for receiving documents - with interesting engineering exhibits, places for recreation, including active ones.

  • Responsible Secretary of the Admissions Committee of the Kazan National Research Technological University (KNITU-KHTI)

The number of budget places for bachelor's and master's programs allocated to KNRTU-KHTI this year amounted to 3795. Of these, 727 places are provided for undergraduate programs and 2068 for master's programs. still remains in technological university and specialty - a classic form of higher education, when after 5 years of study an engineer's qualification is awarded. There were 141 such places in KNRTU-KHTI in 2017, and they are mainly related to defense specialties.

According to the results of the admission campaign last year, the most popular areas of study were those related to the technology of chemical and pharmaceutical preparations, cosmetics, information systems, information security, applied mathematics, design, petrochemistry, oil and gas business and oil and gas processing equipment. Budget places in these areas were taken by those whose USE result in three subjects exceeded 200 points. The maximum passing score in 2016 was recorded in the direction of "Oil and Gas Business": 227 points. We expect that this year the situation with the preferences of young people will not change dramatically. However, due to the reduction in the number of state-funded places (they are allocated 450 less than last year), some increase in competition can be expected.

Among the innovations of 2017, I can note our first admission to the master's program full-time education - 21 budget places are allocated for the direction " Social work and conflictology.

We are pleased to note the growth in the number of foreign applicants. Currently, 1826 foreign students from 59 countries of the world are studying at KNRTU. This figure is increasing every year. So, last year there were 1767 of them, and the year before - 1312.

  • Rector of the Kazan State medical university

The 2017 admission campaign will be held in accordance with the Procedure for admission to higher education programs. The changes will affect persons permanently residing in Crimea - they will act on conditions similar to those for admission of applicants from other subjects of the Russian Federation. The practice of taking into account the individual achievements of applicants will continue; since 2016, the Procedure for Admission to Russian Universities has determined the right to award points for a diploma with honors to graduates of secondary vocational schools.

The number of applicants for participation in the competition as a whole depends on the total number of graduates of general education institutions, graduates of schools and colleges. The number of applications submitted in 2015 and 2016 is 6555 and 5975 respectively. It should be noted that Tatarstan schools graduated 15,867 eleventh-graders in 2016, which is 15% less than in 2015. There is a tendency to increase the number of foreign students - currently their share in the total contingent of students is 21.5% (in 2015 - 18.2%).

The largest competition at the Kazan State Medical University in the admission campaign of 2016 was for the specialty "Medical Biochemistry" (28.8 people per place), and from the "classic" specialties for the university - for "Dentistry" (15.8 people per place). Closes the top three "Pharmacy" (15.03 people per seat). There are no new areas of training for admission in 2017 at the Kazan State Medical University.

  • Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs KSUAE

In general, we were satisfied with the results of the 2016 admissions campaign. We easily met the target figures for admission to the budget in all areas of training with high USE results at the applicants. In addition, a successful admission of bachelors to a paid form of education was carried out. We also increased admission to the master's program for a paid form of education compared to previous years. Every year we accept more applicants with high USE scores. The average score increases, respectively, and the level of training of applicants becomes higher.

The number of people wishing to enter KSUAE in 2016 was higher than in the previous year. Taking into account the active career guidance work carried out in 2017, we also expect a significant increase in the number of applicants. The most popular from year to year are such areas of training as "Construction" and "Architecture". The specialty "Construction of unique buildings and structures" is also in great demand. Most likely, the interests of applicants will remain the same. We are currently in the process of licensing new areas of training for bachelors and masters, but for 2017 we still do not have time to implement them. Although this year in the direction of "Construction" we offer our applicants several new interesting training programs in the master's program.

The 2017 admissions campaign will not be much different from

previous years. In preparation for it, we focused on speeding up the application procedure for our university, for which we increased the number of operators. This year, career guidance work has been intensified not only within Tatarstan, but also in other regions of Russia. The number of foreign students at KSUAE has increased in recent years, the dynamics is positive. In 2016, this trend continued, and in 2017 we plan to reach the same level as last year.

  • Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Volga GAFKSiT

People's attitudes towards healthy lifestyle life that requires a professional approach. There is a demand for qualified personnel. Sports activities have been declared a national idea in Russia. Hence the demand for coaching and teaching staff, including for work in educational organizations. Every year the quality of preparation of applicants is growing, and this is noticeable by how the applicant passes the exam and entrance tests at the Volga Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The competition among those entering the Academy increases every year. Moreover, the growth rates are approximately the same in all directions. This year we also expect an increase in competition in all areas. The profile of sports training in the chosen sport is in stable demand. The most demanded specialties are in physical education and adaptive physical culture. The popularity of such areas as "Service", "Hospitality", "Tourism" is also increasing. In 2017, the opening of new areas of training is not planned. But in the competitive group "Sports training in the chosen sport" the number of sports increased to 19.

The main differences between this year’s admission campaign and last year’s are as follows: applicants from the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol enter on a general basis (last year a separate quota was allocated for them), applicants entering the competitive group “Sports training in a chosen sport” will take traditional practical tests in general physical fitness additionally an exam in the chosen sport. In addition, the number of budget-funded places in master's programs has increased in four competitive groups.

  • Head of the press center of KSUE

Impressions from the admissions campaign last year were generally positive. The quality of training of students accepted last year, in comparison with students of previous years, can be assessed by the average score, which in full-time education in 2016 in the general competition for budget places increased and amounted to 66.9 (in 2015 - 65.9 ).

The greatest competition in 2016 was observed in such areas of training as "Automation of technological processes and production", "Electric power and electrical engineering", "Heat power engineering and heat engineering", "Applied informatics" and "Applied mathematics". There were no new areas of training and specialties in 2017 at our university.

This year, there were no changes in the organization of the admission campaign, as the admission rules remained unchanged. Expectations for the current admission campaign are generally positive, as in the past year, this is due to the fact that a lot of work has been done to improve and improve the quality of education, scientific activity and life of students at the university: a new 19-storey hostel was built and put into operation, a major overhaul of hostel No. 1 and the hall of building B was carried out, training centers and laboratories.

  • Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of TISBI University

As positive impressions from the admission campaign of 2016, in contrast to the admission of previous years, one can indicate the greater activity of schoolchildren in choosing areas of training and greater interest in the presence of state accreditation educational programs, as well as tracking comments from Rosobrnadzor. The number of applicants for admission in 2016 increased by 20% compared to 2015. In the admissions campaign-2017, an increase of 30% is expected.

Applicants in 2016 chose "Jurisprudence" and "Applied Informatics" as priority areas of training. A large enrollment is expected at this reception for the areas of study "Economics", "Management" and, accordingly, for "Jurisprudence" and "Applied Informatics". Since 2017, TISBI has been offering new areas of study: the Bachelor's program "Software Engineering" and the Master's program "Protection of the Rights of Citizens and Business" as a profile of the area of study "Jurisprudence".

There are no special differences in the rules for accepting the admission campaign-2017 from 2016. Citizens permanently residing in the Crimea and in the federal city of Sevastopol are deprived of the right to apply for allocated places (quotas) from general budget places. In addition, employees of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, among others, have a priority right to enlist. Also, a law came into force abolishing the requirement for a disabled person to have a conclusion on the absence of contraindications for training upon admission. In addition, the terms of admission and the stages of enrollment in state-funded places have changed slightly.

  • Rector of Kazan innovative university named after V.G. Timiryasov (IEPM)

The admission campaign of 2016 was remembered for the fact that, compared to previous years, more applicants came to our university, motivated to study, with an active life position. Since 2015, individual achievements of applicants are taken into account, for which additional points are given to the amount of competitive points, and these are not only educational achievements, such as a certificate with honors and the results of olympiads, but also sports - the results of passing the TRP standards and other sports, participation in the volunteer movement , achievements in the arts. All this stimulates schoolchildren to participate more in various activities, broadens their horizons and helps them realize the importance of their citizenship. I think this innovation in the order of admission is beneficial for the entire education system.

Traditionally in 2016 the largest number wishing to study came to the areas of training "Economics", "Jurisprudence". Also, there was a high competition for the Applied Informatics direction, and we think that this year the competition will be two to three times higher - we announced admission to state-funded places for this direction.

We noticed that in the last two years, the interest of applicants in the areas of "Tourism" and "Linguistics" (with the profile "Theory and Methods of Teaching Chinese") has significantly increased. This is primarily the result of attracting native speakers of foreign languages to the teaching of language disciplines. Obviously, in 2017, competition among applicants for these areas will be quite serious.

There are no significant changes in the admission rules compared to last year, innovations relate to special cases. For example, in connection with the introduction of changes to the federal state educational standard in the bachelor's degree program "Jurisprudence", only persons who already have higher education. Persons entering this direction after graduating from 11 classes or on the basis of a secondary diploma vocational education, can study only full-time or part-time. Despite the fact that the new educational standard comes into force on September 1, enrollment in August does not provide an opportunity to study in absentia for these applicants.

Our university does not open new specialties in 2017. We do not seek to expand the range of training areas being implemented - our task is to provide in-depth knowledge and quality education. When compiling lists of training areas to be implemented and admission volumes, we consult with recruitment partners who are prominent players in the labor market of Tatarstan. Their proposals, developed taking into account the trends in the development of the regional economy and the forecast needs of the labor market, form the basis of the strategy for the admission campaign and the educational process. Thus, new profiles are formed within the framework of already implemented areas of training.

For applicants in 2017, we announced admission to the bachelor's degree program "Economics" with a new profile "Economics of enterprises and organizations". Two new profiles appeared in the master's program at once - "Financial Economics" within the framework of the direction "Economics" and "Theory and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages" within the framework of the direction "Pedagogical Education".

Thank you very much for the very useful information in the article. Everything is very clear. It feels like a lot of work has been done to analyze the operation of the eBay store.

    • Thanks to you and other regular readers of my blog. Without you, I wouldn't be motivated enough to dedicate much of my time to running this site. My brains are arranged like this: I like to dig deep, systematize disparate data, try something that no one has done before me, or did not look at it from such an angle. It is a pity that only our compatriots, because of the crisis in Russia, are by no means up to shopping on eBay. They buy on Aliexpress from China, since there are many times cheaper goods (often at the expense of quality). But online auctions eBay, Amazon, ETSY will easily give the Chinese a head start in the range of branded items, vintage items, handicrafts and various ethnic goods.

In your articles, it is your personal attitude and analysis of the topic that is valuable. You do not leave this blog, I often look here. There should be many of us. Email me I recently received a proposal in the mail that they would teach me how to trade on Amazon and eBay. And I remembered your detailed articles about these auctions. area I re-read everything again and concluded that the courses are a scam. I haven't bought anything on eBay yet. I am not from Russia, but from Kazakhstan (Almaty). But we also do not need to spend extra. I wish you good luck and take care of yourself in Asian lands.

  • It's also nice that eBay's attempts to Russify the interface for users from Russia and the CIS countries have begun to bear fruit. After all, the vast majority of citizens of the countries of the former USSR are not strong in knowledge of foreign languages. English is spoken by no more than 5% of the population. More among the youth. Therefore, at least the interface in Russian is a great help for online shopping on this trading platform. Ebey did not follow the path of the Chinese counterpart Aliexpress, where a machine (very clumsy and incomprehensible, in places causing laughter) translation of the product description is performed.
